In plain terms: this website sets no cookies at all. It runs no analytics or advertising trackers and does not track you across other websites. The only things it keeps are three functional items saved in your browser's local storage to remember your choices, listed in full below.
What this site stores
These three items live in your browser's local storage. They are first-party (set by Quarterfold, not by anyone else), hold only your own preferences, and stay until you clear your browser. None of them is a cookie.

Third-party services the site loads
To show you the site, your browser loads a few things directly from other providers. Because your browser contacts them itself, they receive your IP address, but none of them sets any cookies:
- Google Fonts serves the site's typefaces on every page.
- OpenFreeMap serves map tiles, only on the pages that show the interactive globe.
- Sanity serves the images and articles in the Newsroom, only when you open it.
- Web3Forms delivers your message when you submit the enquiry form.
What this site does not use
No advertising or marketing cookies, and no third-party analytics or tracking tools such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel. Because there is nothing non-essential to switch on or off, declining the banner changes nothing about how the site works for you. If we ever add a non-essential tool, it will load only after you consent through the banner.
Managing and clearing what is stored
You can clear or block this local storage at any time through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Clear browsing data.
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data, then Clear Data.
- Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data (or Clear History).
